INTRODUCTION Peter Charles Contract Interiors offers comprehensive refurbishment package which incorporates flooring, curtain making and upholstery. Over the years the Company has built a broadly based client portfolio which includes hotel groups, major department stores, public houses, leisure complexes and offices. QUALITY OF SERVICE Peter Charles was established in Portsmouth in 1968 by Peter Lane in a small premises. In 1986 the Company was purchased by A E Hadley Shopfitters Ltd and managed by David Aldridge. A management buy-out by David Aldridge has recently taken place and the company has relocated to a new premises in Emsworth, Hampshire. All the staff and management remain the same to ensure the high level of service that is expected of us. PRESTIGE Employing a permanent staff of floor layers, upholsterers and curtain makers, and drawing on the resources of a team of reliable and skilled sub-contractors; Peter Charles has earned a reputation for the quality of their work. This has culminated in the Company being involved in a number of prestigious contracts over the years. Contracts have included: HOTELS - Ashdown Park, Grand Hotel, Eastbourne, Tylney Hall, Whittlebury Hall, Scalford Hall, Metropole and Bedford Hotels at Brighton. DEPARTMENT STORES - John Lewis Partnership, West Quay, Solihull, Austin Reed, BHS, Marks & Spencer and Swarovski. BREWERIES - Bass, Gales, Whitbread and Hall & Woodhouse. LEISURE/ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEXES - David Lloyd Centres, Kings Theatre, Prince Charles Theatre, London, and new Theatre complex at St Swithens School, Winchester. BUSINESS CENTRES - Nokia, ATS, Portsmouth University, Portsmouth Guildhall. SERVICES OFFERED We at Peter Charles Interiors offer a complete service encompassing carpets, curtains and upholstery, and have built up a broadly based client portfolio. We take pride in achieving constant high standards throughout each contract, and this has resulted in the Company's high level of continued business and recommendations. SKILLS Over the years the name of Peter Charles has become synonymous with prestige. The Company has been known as a specialist in laying Axminster and Wilton carpets; particularly where borders or intricate pattern and seam work is required. Much of the Company's reputation for consistent quality can be attributed to the stability of the skilled workforce, most of whom have been employed for more than 10 years and some of whom are approaching 25 years service. OBJECTIVES Now that we are once again a family run business, it is our intention to offer a more personalised service, to seek new fields and channels of communication. Our objectives are to expand the workforce, building a team spirit and training younger members in skills through sponsorship. |
